Shoppix
A full-stack multi-vendor commerce platform engineered for the Nigerian market, featuring vendor management, product catalogs, cart & checkout, and Paystack/Opay payment integration.

Project overview
Shoppix is a multi-vendor e-commerce marketplace built for the Nigerian market. Independent vendors apply, get approved, and list products under one platform; customers browse a single catalog spanning every vendor, check out once, and pay by Paystack or Opay. The platform takes a configurable commission per sale. The monorepo contains a Next.js frontend and a Django REST backend.
Challenge
Building a scalable multi-vendor marketplace that handles complex vendor onboarding, catalog management, split payments with configurable commissions, and robust order fulfillment pipelines while ensuring secure, server-verified payment settlement.
Solution
Architected a monorepo with a Next.js frontend and Django REST backend. Implemented a shared payment gateway interface for Paystack and Opay, automated stale order cancellation via Celery, and built role-based dashboards for customers, vendors, and admins.
Outcome
A production-ready multi-vendor commerce platform that provides a seamless shopping experience for customers and a robust operational toolkit for vendors and platform administrators.
Server-to-server payment verification via webhooks
Automated abandoned checkout cancellation and restocking
Configurable per-vendor commission rates baked into historical orders
